Born Again: A New DNA

Why spiritual rebirth is more than just a metaphor

The Problem of Sin

“Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.” — Psalm 51:5

Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned.” — Romans 5:12

There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” — Romans 3:22–24

From the moment Adam and Eve bore children, sin has run in the bloodline of humanity. We are born into it. It’s part of our spiritual genetics—deep within our spiritual DNA. Every person inherits this condition… all except One.

Jesus was born not of human lineage alone but of the Spirit of God. His nature was untainted by sin. And through Him, something extraordinary is made available to us: the chance to receive a new spiritual DNA.

Sin is not just a concept; it’s a condition. And while we can’t remove or repair it ourselves, God has provided a way—not one of many, but the way.

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” — Acts 4:12

Redemption Requires a Response

It’s not enough to merely understand or agree with this truth. Like a promo code offered online, the benefit isn’t activated unless we apply it. Knowing about it changes nothing if we don’t actually receive it.

Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again… Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’” — John 3:3, 6

To renew our spiritual DNA, we must be born again—a spiritual rebirth that happens when we believe in and accept Jesus’ sacrifice, personally and fully.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

The New Life

Does this mean we’ll never sin again? No. But through the new spiritual DNA given to us in Christ, grace abounds. Our sin no longer condemns us—it’s dissolved in the power of His forgiveness.

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” — Ephesians 4:22–24

This transformation is real. It is possible. And it’s available to anyone and everyone.

An Invitation to All

I know many of you reading this have already experienced this rebirth—wonderful! But let’s not keep this gift to ourselves. Let’s share the hope of spiritual renewal with everyone we can.

This way is open to all. It has no expiration date—but we must receive it before we expire.

If you’ve never considered this before, I invite you now:

Ask Him. Talk to Him. Receive His invitation.

You don’t have to stay stuck in the old. A new you—a new DNA—is waiting

We have to go – to know

When Easter gives you hard boiled eggs, remember that the Easter egg symbolizes Jesus’ Resurrection…the shell representing His tomb, and the cracked shell His rising from the dead to save us all.
A joyous Happy Easter to you Tommy, and to everyone experiencing a new DNA!
